Meet Dr. Luc Waked (Crosby, TX)

Luc Waked, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2024. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2020.

As a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Waked has a strong clinical foundation in managing complex eye conditions. During optometry school, he completed externship rotations at the Albuquerque Veterans Affairs Health Care System and Plaza Vision Center in Dallas, where he gained specialized experience in fitting scleral lenses for keratoconus and other corneal disorders.

Following graduation, Dr. Waked completed a residency in ocular disease and brain injury rehabilitation at Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. There, he focused on managing chronic eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, as well as visual complications related to brain injuries.

Dr. Waked is passionate about educating his patients on the visual system and enjoys helping them maximize their vision throughout life. He values forming lasting relationships and providing care that evolves with his patients’ needs.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Waked enjoys spending time with family, working on computers, and stargazing.
