Therapeutic Optometrist / Glaucoma Specialist (Crosby and Porter)
A native of Michigan, Dr. Szabo completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1994. She graduated with academic honors and recognition for clinical excellence from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2000. As an Optometry Student, Dr. Szabo served as the President of the Student Optometric Association. She was awarded over 10 leadership, merit, clinical, academic, service and essay based scholarships during her 4 years in Optometry school. She completed one externship at Houston Eye Associates focusing on Corneal Surgery, refractive procedures and LASIK management and another externship at Plano Eye Associates Family Practice focusing on complex contact lens fitting and ocular disease treatment and diagnosis. Dr. Szabo now practices in Crosby and Porter, Texas providing full scope primary care optometry as well as refractive surgery co-management, glaucoma treatment, minor surgical care of the eye, retinal examination, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, and cataract diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Szabo has also published research papers and health care articles and performs eye examinations in English and Spanish.

Lauren Miller, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Therapeutic Optometrist / Glaucoma Specialist (Crosby and Porter)
Dr. Miller is originally from Calgary, Canada where she attended the University of Calgary and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics in 2002. She went on to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry in 2010 from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While in optometry school, Dr. Miller served as a teaching assistant and received numerous awards and clinical letters of excellence, recognizing her outstanding performance. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. Following graduation from optometry school, Dr. Miller completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at Eye Center of Texas in Houston, TX where she specialized in the treatment and management of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, ocular infections, ocular foreign body removal and surgical co-management. In 2012, she obtained her fellowship into the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Miller is committed to providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. As a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist, Dr. Miller practices full scope optometry including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and pediatric eye exams. In addition, she is very experienced in the treatment and management of ocular disease including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome and ocular infections. She also provides post-operative care for cataract and LASIK patients.

Robyn Kralich, OD
Therapeutic Optometrist / Glaucoma Specialist (Porter)
Dr. Kralich attended Vanderbilt University and University of Tennessee Chattanooga. She was then accepted into an honors combined studies program at Southern College of Optometry where she received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees. While at Southern College of Optometry, she received the Bays Family Service Award as well as several clinical honors and was in the Gold Key Club. During her collegiate and optometric studies, she was a vision therapist. This allowed Dr. Kralich to develop an extensive understanding of patient’s visual needs including strabismus and amblyopia as well as functional visual problems that would affect reading and school performance. After graduating from SCO, she completed a primary care residency at Illinois Eye Institute at Illinois College of Optometry. In addition to performing comprehensive vision and ocular health examinations, Dr. Kralich co-managed glaucoma, corneal and retinal pathology. After completion of her residency, Dr. Kralich was an Assistant Professor at Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Kralich examined patients in the Clinic as well as lecturing in the classroom and for local optometric societies. Dr. Kralich then continued her career in academia at University of Houston College of Optometry where she was a Visiting Assistant Clinic Professor and Director of Family Practice Service. Upon moving to the Dallas area, she was in a primary care private practice.
Dr. Kralich grew up in East Tennessee but has lived in Dallas and Houston for a total of 17 years.
Dr. Kralich has been very active in several community organizations. She received the Presidential Award for Service in 2006 and Junior Achievement Community Volunteer Recognition in 2013. She has served on several nonprofit boards including North Country Women’s Tennis Association and Woodlands Women’s Tennis Association.
Dr. Kralich enjoys spending time with her family including her husband, son and daughter. She enjoys playing tennis, watching college football, cycling and playing with her 2 dogs.
Managers and Supervisors
Office Manager (Crosby)
Judy’s “hard work” philosophy and commitment to excellence has earned her the respect of her team and the role of advocate for patients and staff for over a decade. She is dedicated, dependable and honest. She always does for the patient what she would want done for herself. Judy has held the role of office manager for both Crosby and Porter offices but has recently dedicated her time primarily to Crosby where she is continually monitoring and reinforcing the Family Vision Center philosophy that “The patient is ALWAYS right.”
Judy loves reading and going on vacations on her spare time.
Assistant Office Manager/Office Billing Manager (Crosby and Porter)
A former customer service manager, Barbara came to Family Vision Center in 2005 to transition the office into a Medical Management facility capable of billing for diagnostic testing, management of ocular pathology as well as minor surgical procedures of the eye and surrounding tissues. She has used her exceptional problem solving skills to secure maximum insurance reimbursement so that patients get maximum coverage by their insurance provider.
Barbara is married to her husband Jeff and has 3 wonderful kids. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Optometric Assistant / Clinic Coordinator / Medical Scribe (Crosby)
In 2007, Tina decided to take a job working at Family Vision Center as an Optometric Assistant and is now our Clinic Coordinator. She was very quick to learn the ropes and quickly became a patient favorite because she is such a sweet person. She is extremely friendly and tries very hard to do whatever she can for each of her patients. Patients who she has worked with quite often give management compliments on her professionalism.

Office Manager (Porter)
Victor joined the team in 2017 and has no prior optical, clinical or optometry experience other than listening to Optometry discussions for more than 20 years between Dr. Szabo and her colleagues. While his focus is on operational excellence for the Porter location and ensuring patients have a tremendous experience while visiting, he also provides financial stewardship for both locations. Victor received his BBA in accounting from Western Michigan University and previously worked in oil and gas as an Accounting Executive for 20 years before joining Family Vision Center. In his spare time, Victor enjoys home improvement, golf, watching and and playing football with his 2 sons.
Optometric Assistant (Porter)
Retired Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. She has enjoyed being in eye care for 24 years.
She is married and has lived in Montgomery county for the past 3 years. She loves spending time with her family in her spare time.
Medical Receptionist (Crosby)
Savanna joined Family Vision Center in November of 2009. She brings with her experience in Medical Billing, but more importantly, she brings a sweet and pleasant demeanor to our Reception Desk. She excels at organization, multitasking and providing first class customer service.
Savanna enjoys going to the Rodeo and racetrack in her spare time.
Insurance Specialist (Crosby)
Ashley Butler is our Insurance Specialist and front desk receptionist who joined the Family Vision Center team in February of 2015. She makes it her mission to ensure our patients are able to maximize their insurance benefits and receive the best customer experience possible.
Her world revolves around her husband, Jeremy, and their four children. Her hobbies include spending time with family and watching their kids play sports. Four kids keep them very busy!
Medical Receptionist (Crosby)
Rosa joined Family Vision Center in 2017. She is a graduate of Crosby High school and currently lives in Crosby with her family. You will often see her smiling face when you visit our Crosby office or hear her friendly voice when you call the office. She loves spending her spare time with family and friends.

Medical Receptionist (Porter)
Sara joined our team in August 2016 as a medical receptionist. Sara enjoys spending time with her family, reading and traveling to new places.

Cheryl Hargraves joined Family Vision Center of Porter in 2011. It always gives her a happy feeling when a patient picks up their new glasses and can see the world in a brighter, better focus. She is looking forward to many more years in the optical business and watching trends in eyewear change.
She lives in Cleveland, Texas. She likes spending as much time as possible with her grandson and brand new twin granddaughters.
Optician/ Optical Lab Technician (Crosby)
Deena’s friendly smile and sunny disposition makes everyone feel at home. She brings with her experience working in other local Optometric practices.
Deena has been married to her Husband Robert for 27 years. They have 2 children and 2 Grandchildren who they love spending time with.
Ray is a native of Texas. He was born and raised in Nederland and currently resides in Kingwood. He has been married for 12 years and has 4 daughters. He has been in the optical industry for 30 years and enjoys frame styling his customers and seeing the smile on their face when they put their new glasses on for the first time. Also, getting to know his customers is one of the most rewarding aspects of his job.
In his spare time he enjoys cooking, watching sports, and taking beach vacations with is family. He is an avid Astros, Dodgers, and Cowboys fan.

Vanessa St Julian
Testing Specialist (Crosby)
Vanessa St Julian joined the clinic in 2007, she spent several years working in our Crosby location, cross training in every department. She now works primarily in our testing department. She finds her job fascinating, especially the fact that each eye is different and every condition has a story. She also appreciates the time she gets to spend working directly with the patients, and enjoys getting to know them on a more individual basis while caring for their needs. Vanessa enjoys spending her free time with her family and volunteering at her church in any way possible.

Abigail joined the Family Vision Center team in October of 2014 as an optometric assistant. Abigail has since trained as a medical scribe. She helps keep the clinic running smoothly.

Courtney joined our team in August 2016 as an optometric assistant. She brings with her over 10 years of customer service experience. She makes sure our patients feel welcome with her cheerful attitude and vibrant personality.

Miles joined Family Vision Center in early 2017. He comes from a long line of scholars and provides hours of entertainment to everyone he encounters. He provides stress relief after long hours of computer and internet issues that frequently plague all hi-tech medical offices.
